Leeds PHP Summer Social

Earlier this week, I got to head down to Leeds to meet up with some of the folks from the LeedsPHP group! This was billed as a summer social, so whilst there were no talks, it provided a great opportunity to meet and chat with some of the group who were a very friendly bunch!

The group met at Trinity Kitchen, which I’d never been to before but it’s fantastic venue, full of places to eat and drink. I had a lovely lemon beer (the name escapes me) whilst I waited. I’ve been to Leeds a couple of times before, but this part of Leeds was new to me.

The social included pizza and I had a couple more drinks whilst enjoying getting to know the fellow attendees. The turnout was smaller than I expected based on the number of people that had signed up, perhaps the England match on the same evening had something to do with it?

I’m looking forward to attending future meetups in Leeds! I may have also put myself down to deliver a talk next year, which is definitely sometihing I want to tick off my list.
