Move over PECL, it's time for Pie

One of my favourite talks at Laravel Live UK earlier this year was a talk by James Titcumb about PiePHP, a project he’s working on for The PHP Foundation which serves as a replacement for PECL and makes it easier to work with PHP extensions.

Since that talk, there’s been a whole load of updates to Pie. James recently sat down with Eric over at Laravel News to talk about PiePHP, the history, where it’s heading and more:
